Interdisciplinary Humanities (HUM)

HUM-1995: Arts and Ideas (3 hours)

Exploration of the fine arts, philosophy and culture in their historical and ethical context as an interdisciplinary course in the humanities. One of two required first-year courses in the General Education core. Course is part of a structured learning community and requires concurrent enrollment in or successful completion of the COL-1995: Vocation and College Success. Failures will be made up immediately in the following semester. Students enrolled in HUM-1995 will not be eligible to drop the course before the 10th week of the semester except for total withdrawal from the University. Field Trip: Required. Fee: Required.

HUM-4910: Special Topics: Humanities (3 hours)

An in-depth study of a topic relevant to a current topic in the discipline or a topic of interest that is not addressed in other departmental courses. The course may be repeated for credit so long as the topic is different.

HUM-4950: Independent Study in Interdisciplinary Humanities (1-6 hours)
